  • Adey Magnaclean twintech 22 mm

The Adey Magnaclean Twintech is a duel action magnetic and non-magnetic boiler filter capable of removing debris and contaminants that are commonly found with boilers and central heating systems. Debris such as iron oxide sludge, scale, casting sand, welding debris and non ferrous metal flakes are a common problem in heating systems causing premature failures in pumps and valves as well as causing blockages in boiler heat exchangers, pipework and radiators. This can lead to costly repairs and also cause a significant drop in the efficiency of the boiler and central heating system leading to increased fuel consumption and so resulting in higher fuel bills and carbon emissions.

The Adey Magnaclean Twintech employees a powerful magnetic core to remove magnetic debris and a gauze to capture non-magnetic debris and can virtually eliminate 100% of suspended particles. The internal magnet and filter can also be removed and cleaned ensuring that the filter continually works at its best and fully protecting the central heating system. With a boiler filter like the Magnaclean Twintech boilers and central heating systems can be fully protected and ensure that its optimum running efficiency is maintained. An added bonus with the Magnaclean Twintech is the unique one way valve which allows the user or heating engineer to dose the system with chemical treatments for added protection.

    Benefits and Features

    • Powerful magnetic filtration
    • High effective non magnetic filtration
    • Simple to install and service
    • Quick and easy chemical treatment dosing
    • Increased and sustained energy efficiency
    • prolonged central heating system life
    • Manufacturers two year guarantee

At Boilers2go we highly recommend the Adey Magnaclean Twintech 22mm boiler filter for systems using 22mm pipe to effectively protect and maintain the energy efficiency of all domestic central heating systems.

    1. The water circulating the central heating flows throught the Magnaclean Twintech where the black iron oxide sludge, that forms within the system, is deposited
    2. The powerful magnetic core is used to remove any magnetic debris such as the black iron oxide sludge and gauze filter captures any non magnetic debris
    3. The black iron oxide sludge is attracted to the magnetic core and is filtered out of the system water
    4. Within 10 seconds the system water is virtually cleared of black iron oxide sludge
    5. The magnetic core and gauze filter can then be removed and cleaned to ensure that the filter continues to work at optimum effectiveness (the Magnaclean Twintech can hold up to a years worth of debris before it requires cleaning)

The Altecnic 35 Litre Expansion Vessel

    • Capacity : 35 litre
    • Diameter : 404mm
    • Height : 408mm
    • Inlet : ¾" BSP
    • Max working connection pressure: 4 bar
    • Working temperature range: -10°C - +99°C

How the Altecnic 35 Litre Expansion Vessel Works

In a closed central heating system water cannot be compressed so any increase in the volume, created by an increase in temperature, needs to be accomodated. This is done with the use of an expansion vessel, when the water in the system is cold the pre-charge pressure of the system forces a diaphram in the expansion vessel against the tank towards the inlet. As the temperature increases the expanding water volume pushes against the diaphragm creating additional volume for the water to enter the expansion vessel. As the temperature decreases the pre-charge pressure forces the water from the expansion vessel back into the central heating system. This maintains a constant pressure within the central heating system and helps to reduce energy and water consumption.
