'Billions could be saved' through energy efficiency
Billions of pounds could be saved if UK homeowners all bought the most energy-efficient products available on the market, one sector commentator has claimed.Adrian Arnold, from the Energy Saving Trust, said that an A rated fridge, as opposed to one with an energy rating of G, could result in £186 saved on the average annual electricity bill.
In addition, the carbon emissions that contribute to climate change would also be reduced, he added.
"If everyone in the UK looked for the most energy efficient rated product you would actually take a billion pounds out of the nation's domestic utilities bill," Mr Arnold explained.
This equated to enough energy to power 780,000 homes for 12 months.
Other energy-saving products may include a condensing boiler, ground source heat pump or solar panels.
And the European Union is considering changing a green labeling scheme that helps consumers choose the most efficient washing machine, boiler, car or house.

I would just like to say thank you so much for supplying our radiator quickly, it arrived on your estimated delivery date. Too many people are quick to complain sometimes so I think it is nice to acknowledge when things go right. Once again thank you.
