Carbon Monoxide Detectors are a very useful safety device and highly recommended to protect you and others from possible exposure to Carbon Monoxide (CO) from faulty, damaged or poorly installed gas appliances. CO is an odourless and colourless gas which is extremely harmful to humans and animals causing illness and in some cases can be fatal when exposed to it for long periods or in high doses. Carbon Monoxide Detector will sound an alarm when it detects traces of CO in the air alerting the occupants of the property to exit the building and if possible turn off all the gas appliances and the mains gas supply and then contacting a registered gas safe engineer to service the gas appliances before turning them back on.
